Paphos, Cyprus. Paphos is promoting itself in Poland this week to attract more visitors from one of Cyprus’ fastest-rising tourism markets and to strengthen its appeal as a year-round destination.
Workshops in Katowice and Warsaw
The Paphos regional tourism board (Etap) is taking part in professional workshops and presentations in Katowice and Warsaw from March 10 to 12 as part of its 2026 action plan. The initiative is being carried out in cooperation with the deputy ministry of tourism, according to an announcement.
Focus on commercial partnerships
Etap said the effort aims to strengthen ties with tour operators and other commercial partners while further promoting Paphos in the Polish market.
Poland identified as high-priority market
Poland is viewed as a high-priority market for both Cyprus and Paphos, with visitor numbers rising sharply in recent years, supported by stronger air links, including Ryanair flights to Paphos airport.
Arrival figures and flight schedule expectations
Arrivals from Poland to Cyprus exceeded 373,000 in 2025, up 10 per cent from around 337,000 in 2024, the announcement said. Etap estimated that about 49 per cent of Polish visitors to Cyprus stay in Paphos. It added that the 2026 summer schedule is expected to include 23 flights a week to Paphos airport from seven airports in Poland, mainly through Ryanair.
Broader efforts to boost year-round traffic
The campaign is part of joint efforts by local tourism bodies, the deputy ministry of tourism, Hermes Airports and other partners to increase traffic to the district throughout the year.
