Cyprus among top Passover destinations
According to the Cyprus News Agency, Cyprus has consistently ranked among the top ten Passover destinations for Israeli travellers, with demand increasing further since the start of the year, even before the latest developments in the Middle East.
Advance bookings and subsequent reversal
The rise in demand led to a surge in advance bookings, particularly for Larnaca and Paphos. However, the trend has since reversed due to rising concerns over the upcoming tourist season amid escalating regional tensions.
Flight cancellations and higher fares
Following recent developments, foreign airlines cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv, leaving only a limited number of Israeli carriers operating routes and significantly reducing seat availability. According to Israel daily Yedioth Ahronoth, the reduced supply has pushed round-trip ticket prices to Larnaca and Paphos up to €450.
