Pedoulas, Cyprus. The Community of Pedoulas in the mountain district of Nicosia will host the 8th Cherry Festival on June 13 and 14. The two-day village event will feature music, dance, food, workshops and free cherries.
Festival programme on June 13
Activities will begin on June 13 with traditional dancing from 11am to 2pm. Live music will follow until 5pm, before further Cypriot dance performances by another local ensemble.
In the evening, a buffet with local dishes will open at 8pm while a concert by Hovig takes place at the Gymnasium.
Festival programme on June 14
On June 14, dance and music ensembles will open the day’s activities in the morning and continue throughout the day. The programme will include a children’s shadow theatre show at 11am and an experiential workshop at 12pm, both at Capuralli Café.
Event details
Organisers said free cherries and cherry-infused products will be available during the festival. The traditional village festival will take place in Pedoulas village from 11am onwards with free admission.
