Peristerona to hold 2nd Constantineios Love Run on May 2 in memory of Constantinos Hadjimichael

Peristerona, Cyprus. The Peristerona community will organise a charity running event on May 2 in memory of the late Constantinos Hadjimichael. The 2nd Constantineios Love Run will raise funds for the Day Care Centre for Adults with Disabilities of the Morphou District Communities.


Event purpose and tribute

Organisers said Hadjimichael was committed to the common good and participated in volunteer and charitable initiatives. They said the event aims to honour his memory, continue his legacy of giving and promote sports, solidarity and community spirit in Peristerona and surrounding areas.

Races and route

Three races are planned: a 10km running race, a 5km running or walking route and a 1km children’s race. All races will start and finish at the village square, in front of the five-domed church of Saints Barnabas and Hilarion.

Programme and proceeds

A community celebration with music and food will follow the races. Organisers said net proceeds will be donated to the day care centre based in Peristerona, which provides care, education and daily activities for adults with disabilities in the wider Morphou region.

Schedule and registration

The event will take place at Peristerona village square in Nicosia district. Start times are 7.30am for the 10km race, 9am for the 5km race and 10.30am for the 1km children’s race. Registration is available at www.konstantinosloverun.com.
