Platres, Cyprus. The annual Lavender Festival will take place in the mountain village of Platres on July 5, offering visitors a full day of activities centred on lavender. The event will run from 11am to 8pm in the Troodos mountains.
Music programme
The festival will open with live music from 11am to 1.30pm, with performances dedicated to lavender and Platres. Afternoon performances will continue from 3pm to 6pm with guitars and bouzouki featuring Greek music, followed by a saxophone performance from 6pm to 7pm at sunset.
Gastronomy workshops
Food-related activities will run from 11am to 6pm, focusing on lavender’s culinary uses. Four masterclasses and demonstrations will present recipes and drinks including lavender energy balls, truffles, mineral infusions and alcoholic blends.
Wellness activities
Wellness offerings will be available from 11am until 8pm. These will include an open-air spa experience, lavender water treatments, lavender hair therapies by Aroma Physis and aroma touch hand massages by Antonia.
Artisan market
The Levantine Market will feature 32 exhibitors with handmade lavender products. Items on display will include cosmetics, candles, arts and crafts, and lavender-infused delicacies.
