Police overnight operations in key urban areas lead to seven arrests and 176 traffic reports

Nicosia, Cyprus. Police continued overnight operations in key urban areas on Monday, making seven arrests and reporting multiple traffic offences following roadside checks.


Arrests and offences

Police said seven people were arrested for various offences, including causing serious bodily harm, illegal entry into the Republic, and the illegal possession of property and drugs.

Vehicle checks and traffic enforcement

Police said officers pulled over vehicles and checked 565 drivers and passengers. They reported 176 people for various traffic offences and identified 11 cases already under investigation. Police said 69 drivers were reported for speeding and six vehicles were confiscated.

Establishment inspections

Police said they checked 25 establishments and filed two reports.
