Kato Polemidia, Cyprus. Police have secured an arrest warrant for a person believed to be involved in Tuesday’s stabbing in Kato Polemidia and are investigating attempted murder. A 23-year-old man was taken to Limassol general hospital with abdominal stab wounds and underwent surgery.
Hospital treatment and condition
At 2pm on Tuesday, Limassol general hospital informed police that the 23-year-old had been transported by ambulance and was being operated on for abdominal injuries caused by stabbing. According to doctors, the man is out of danger.
Police investigation
Police cordoned off the scene in Kato Polemidia, where blood was found. Investigators believe at least two people were involved in the incident that led to the man’s injury.
Arrest warrant issued
Police said on Wednesday that they had secured an arrest warrant for a person who remains at large.
