Parekklisia, Cyprus. A pregnant woman was taken to hospital for medical assessment following a traffic collision on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway on Friday morning. The crash temporarily closed the highway’s right lane and caused lengthy delays.
Traffic disruption
Police said the lane closure led to long queues for motorists travelling through the area. The affected lane was later reopened, restoring traffic flow, although congestion continued for some time as the backlog cleared.
Hospital assessment
The woman was transported to hospital as a precaution. No immediate information was released on the extent of any injuries sustained by those involved in the collision.
