Limassol, Cyprus. Premiere Group will bring Cinderella: The Pantomime to Polemidia Municipal Theatre on March 7 and 8 in an English-language production aimed at audiences of all ages. The show is presented in classic English pantomime style and includes a live band and audience participation.
Production and format
The performance is described as a family-friendly experience featuring colour, comedy, music and audience participation. The production is staged as a traditional pantomime and is designed to appeal to both children and adults.
Cast and creative team
The production includes a 22-strong cast and creative team made up of volunteers of nine different nationalities, ranging in age from 10 to 70.
Comments from organisers
Director Sharon Chorbadjian said the production marks a return to large-scale theatre for the team. She said, “Cinderella is such a special show for us. It represents magic, hope and community and bringing this production to the stage as part of our return to large-scale theatre makes it even more meaningful.”
Premiere Group founders Daniel Chorbadjian and Hovig Nassanian said the production reflects the organisation’s focus on bringing people together through theatre and described it as a celebration of community and creativity in Cyprus.
