Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation has expanded opportunities for young people to develop research, innovation and entrepreneurial projects, according to its Director General, Theodoros Loukaidis.
Research support
Loukaidis said young scientists, entrepreneurs and innovators are developing new ideas and solutions across different disciplines.
Through the RIF Excellence Hubs and the RIF Post-Doctoral Programme, young scientists can pursue research and develop the independence required to establish themselves in their fields.
He said 125 young scientists have received support through these initiatives over the past five years.
Entrepreneurship programme
Aspiring entrepreneurs can take their first steps through the RIF Future Founders Academy, where participants can test their ideas before establishing a company.
The programme also enables participants to assess whether entrepreneurship is the appropriate path for them, while developing skills, confidence and an entrepreneurial mindset to turn ideas into action.
