Barcelona, Spain. The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is participating in the ‘4 Years From Now 2026’ conference at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026 alongside eight innovative Cypriot companies. The foundation said the participation highlights the dynamism and outward-looking orientation of Cyprus’ national innovation ecosystem.
Theme and focus of the event
According to a Tuesday announcement by RIF, this year’s edition is held under the theme “Infinite AI,” focusing on the substantive and practical application of artificial intelligence and emphasising solutions with tangible economic and social impact.
Cypriot startups and showcased technologies
Within this framework, Cypriot startups are presenting technologies spanning artificial intelligence, robotics, agritech and digital applications to an international audience.
Delegation leadership and meetings
The Cypriot delegation is led by Theodoros Loucaides, director general of RIF, accompanied by board members Monica Ioannidou Polemitou and Andreas Andreou. During the exhibition, meetings with investors, organisations and international stakeholders are taking place to foster strategic partnerships and attract investment interest.
Companies at the Cyprus national pavilion
The Cyprus national pavilion is hosting IREROBOT LTD, Cocoon Creations, AgroVisioners, GridQ Ltd, GetCrew Ltd., RAVATAR, Freyia Labs and Mentormatic Solutions Limited, which are presenting their products and services to thousands of international visitors.
Government visit and statement
The Cyprus stand was visited by Nicodemos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy. RIF said the visit reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to advancing research, innovation and technological development.

RIF said Cyprus’ participation in 4YFN is part of targeted actions to promote the national research and innovation ecosystem internationally, strengthen global networking opportunities for Cypriot enterprises, and create conditions for sustainable growth through innovation.
