London, United Kingdom. Asking prices for newly advertised British houses and apartments fell 1.0 per cent in the four weeks to July 11, according to property website Rightmove.
Seasonal decline exceeds average
The monthly fall was larger than the average 0.2 per cent decline recorded over the same period during the past 10 years.
Buyer attention and borrowing costs
Rightmove said the men’s soccer World Cup and record temperatures distracted potential buyers, while high borrowing costs also continued to affect the market.
