Nicosia, Cyprus. Police said seven people were arrested on Thursday night for offences including driving without a licence, ignoring a uniformed officer’s instructions, traffic violations, illegal employment, and unlawful residency. The arrests were reported on Friday.
Vehicle and premises checks
Police said they conducted organised patrols across urban areas, stopping 234 vehicles and checking 274 drivers and passengers. Officers also inspected 29 premises, resulting in three complaints for operating without permits.
Traffic enforcement results
Police said traffic checks led to 91 complaints, including 47 for speeding, four traffic cases, and one alcohol-related complaint. One vehicle was seized.
