Six Iranian residents arrested after Limassol coast clash leaves three injured

Limassol, Cyprus. Six Iranian residents of Cyprus were arrested after a clash between two groups along the coast of Limassol on Monday night left three people injured. Police said one of the injured suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.


Incident and arrests

Police said the incident occurred at around 8 pm on 28 October along the coast and involved six people aged 31, 43, 34, 34, 33 and 35. The latter three were injured and admitted to hospital.

Court appearance and investigation

Police told the Cyprus Mail it was too early to comment on further details, but confirmed the six individuals were expected to appear in court today for a remand hearing. Investigations are ongoing.
