Screening details

The screening will take place at Pantheon Theatre, Nicosia, on April 28 at 8pm. Admission is free.

Focus on Varosha and Cyprus’s recent history

The film examines the recent history of Cyprus through Varosha, described as one of the Mediterranean’s leading seaside resorts in the late 1960s before becoming a ghost town for the past 50 years under the control of the Turkish army.

Perspectives from both communities

Through meetings with individuals from both the northern and southern communities, the documentary follows people seeking to preserve a disappearing memory as well as those working toward reconciliation. It also raises the question of how to build a life while being deprived of part of one’s history.
