The Turkish media has published information that high-ranked Turkish military officer, who participated in the organisation of the Putsch in Turkey, is hiding in Cyprus.
The Turkish daily newspaper reports that he left for the annual leave on 13th of July – 2 days before the attempted Putsch. Next day he was seen in Istanbul, where he was giving order to to the soldiers and on 16th of July, after failed attempt to cross border with Turkey, he hid in Cyprus.
The Cyprus police is investigating the matter.
