Nicosia, Cyprus. Three and the Cuckoo, also known as 3 Kai O Koukos, presents itself as a taverna but offers a broad menu that extends from traditional grilled dishes to wagyu souvlaki and steaks. The restaurant’s outdoor seating area includes utilitarian chairs, paper-covered tables and a busy patio atmosphere.
Menu selection
The main laminated menu contains 85 items, covering salads, starters, sausages, souvlaki, steaks and other dishes. A separate laminated menu lists 15 daily specials, 10 of which were available during the visit and marked with black ticks.
Traditional dishes and broader offerings
The menu begins with familiar taverna options including chicken and pork souvlaki, sheftalia and charcoal-grilled meats. It then expands beyond these staples, with wagyu souvlaki among the offerings.
Dining setting
A party of four was seated on the restaurant’s patio, where waiters moved between tables and children played nearby. The large selection of dishes made choosing an order difficult for the group.
