Limassol, Cyprus. Police arrested 12 suspects on Monday night after a brawl broke out in the Ayia Zoni area, leaving three people injured and hospitalised.
Police response and scene findings
Officers arrived at the scene at 9pm and found bloodstains, a bloodstained piece of iron, and a pair of shoes. Police later located 12 suspects in a nearby apartment.
Injuries reported
Among the group was an 18-year-old man who appeared to have sustained injuries to his head, legs and other body parts. Examinations later revealed that two more people had been injured in the brawl, and all three were admitted to Limassol general hospital for treatment.
Evidence seized and investigation
A subsequent search of the apartment found two cricket bats bearing bloodstains, which were seized as evidence. All 12 suspects were arrested after arrest warrants were issued, and Limassol police have launched an investigation.
