Nicosia, Cyprus. Police said two people were arrested overnight during operations aimed at cracking down on crime and maintaining public order. A total of 138 people were reported for traffic violations during the checks.
Arrests and premises checks
Police said the arrests were made for serious criminal and other offences. Officers also checked 21 premises as part of efforts to prevent and suppress criminal activities.
Vehicle checks and violations
Police carried out more than 420 vehicle checks, reporting 138 people for traffic violations, including 48 for speeding. Eight vehicles were confiscated.
