Two arrested in Limassol after police find drugs, cash and scales in vehicle and home searches

Limassol, Cyprus. Police arrested two people on Wednesday for possession of drugs after searches of a car, a residence and another vehicle uncovered drugs, cash and other evidence.


Vehicle stop and initial search

Acting on a tipoff, police stopped a car in Limassol driven by a 27-year-old at 10.30am on Wednesday. A search of the vehicle found 6g of cocaine, an ecstasy pill, precision scales and €2,010 in cash.

Search of residence

Police then searched the man’s house, where he resides with a 39-year-old woman. During the search in the presence of the two suspects, police found 29 packets of cannabis weighing 293g in total, three precision scales with traces of cannabis and white powder, six containers with anabolic substances, €1,350 and $100 in cash, and other evidence.

Search of woman’s car

Police later searched the woman’s car and found 40g of cannabis, 45g of mushrooms, 8g of cannabis resin, 7g of cocaine, 5g of ketamine, 16g of MDMA, 24 ecstasy pills and four e-cigarettes containing CBG.
