Ayia Napa, Cyprus. Two men were arrested shortly after midnight in Ayia Napa after police found one carrying a stick and the other a bottle, police said on Friday. One of the men was also arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Police incident
Police said one of the men, who appeared to be intoxicated, pushed an officer during questioning and was arrested at the scene for assaulting a police officer.
Charges and court appearance
Both suspects were also arrested for possessing offensive instruments and are expected to appear before court on Friday.
