Nicosia, Cyprus. Police arrested two individuals on Friday in connection with conspiracy to commit a crime, burglary and theft after an overnight break-in at an electronics shop in the city. The suspects, aged 17 and 15, were taken into custody after investigators secured testimony against them.
Shop break-in reported
Police said a 43-year-old man who owns an electronics shop in Nicosia reported at 9am that unknown people had broken into his shop overnight.
Arrests and recovered items
During the investigation, police secured testimony against the two suspects. The teenagers were arrested shortly after 1pm and showed police where they had hidden 19 mobile phones and a smartwatch.
Court appearance
The two are to be taken before the Nicosia district court on Saturday for remand orders.
