Baghdad, Iraq. The U.S. embassy in Baghdad urged U.S. citizens to leave Iraq immediately in an updated security alert on Saturday, following an overnight missile attack on the embassy’s building.

The embassy said U.S. citizens choosing to remain in Iraq were strongly encouraged to reconsider due to what it described as a significant threat posed by Iran-aligned terrorist militia groups.
