Nicosia, Cyprus. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is expected to visit Cyprus on July 27 and 28, according to sources cited by the Cyprus Mail.
Planned meetings
Guterres is expected to be accompanied by Under-Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Rosemary DiCarlo and Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix.
During the two-day visit, he is expected to hold separate meetings with President Nikos Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman.
Joint engagements
The UN secretary-general is also expected to meet the two leaders jointly, as well as members of bicommunal technical committees and non-governmental organisations.
