Ankara, Turkey. The United States has urged its citizens to leave south-east Turkey and ordered non-essential staff to depart from its consulate near the city of Adana. The US embassy in Ankara issued the guidance and staffing order.

The US embassy in Ankara said Washington advised non-essential personnel to leave the consulate located near Adana in southern Turkey, close to a key NATO base.
