Yermasoyia, Cyprus. A Mercedes van caught fire in the carpark of a block of flats just before midnight, damaging its engine. No one was in danger and the building was not evacuated.

Fire brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis said the service was informed of the fire at 11.56pm on Monday. The van was in the carpark of a block of flats when it caught fire.
