Wealthyhood x BoC launches access to Cypriot and Greek stocks

Nicosia, Cyprus. Wealthyhood x BoC on Tuesday launched trading in Cypriot and Greek stocks, allowing retail investors in Cyprus, Greece and across Europe to invest through a single mobile application.

Market access expansion

The platform offers access to companies listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) and Euronext Athens, enabling users to invest in Cypriot and Greek shares from €1 through fractional investing.

Wealthyhood said the service provides direct mobile access to leading Cypriot and Greek blue-chip companies, banking institutions and other domestic businesses. The company described its fees as the lowest in the market.

Bank of Cyprus partnership

The launch expands the strategic partnership between Bank of Cyprus and Wealthyhood. The local lender has integrated access to the Cyprus Stock Exchange and the Athens market into the Wealthyhood x BoC investment platform.

The company said retail participation in the Cypriot and Greek stock markets has historically been restricted by high minimum investment requirements, complex trading platforms, and transaction and clearing fees charged by traditional brokers.

It said Wealthyhood x BoC aims to address those barriers by combining fractional-share technology with what it described as market-leading trade execution.

Company statement

Wealthyhood co-founder and chief executive Alexandros Christodoulakis said investing in leading Cypriot and Greek companies had been expensive and inaccessible for younger investors.

He said high minimum investment limits and exchange fees had created a barrier between everyday investors and domestic economies.

Christodoulakis said the addition of the Cyprus Stock Exchange and Euronext Athens on equal terms was a defining milestone for the platform. He added that fractional shares from €1 and Smart Execution, which absorbs stock exchange fees, would give Cypriots, Greeks and Europeans access to local companies through the platform.
