Limassol, Cyprus. More than 25 wineries from across Cyprus will take part in the Wine Aroma of Cyprus exhibition on May 31 at Limassol’s Old Port Square. The event is hosted by the Cyprus Oenophile Association.
Event details and tastings
The exhibition will run from 5pm to 11pm and will include wine tastings from participating wineries. Admission is free, while visitors can taste wines with the purchase of a collector’s glass for €5.
Wineries and wine presentations
Each winery will share stories about indigenous varieties, the art and history of wine, and the characteristics of each variety. The event will include live saxophone music.
Wine service demonstration
At 8.15pm, Cyprus Oenophile Association president Andreas Matheou will give a demonstration on presenting and serving wines, including opening and serving sparkling, white and red wines, temperatures, order of serving, and basic principles of wine and food pairing. Visitors will be able to observe or participate.
