Athens service to resume with high-frequency schedule
Wizz Air said it will resume its high-frequency service between Larnaca and Athens starting in September 2026, citing strong passenger demand. The route will initially operate 11 times per week, rising to up to 14 weekly services, effectively offering a double daily schedule. Fares will start from €29.99 one-way, including all mandatory fees and one carry-on bag. The airline said the return of the route reflects strong and consistent passenger demand and underlines its ongoing investment in key regional links.
New direct route to Madrid to launch in September 2026
The airline announced a new direct route from Larnaca to Madrid, expanding its presence in Spain. The Madrid service will begin in September 2026 and operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Fares will start from €55.99 one-way, including all mandatory fees and one carry-on bag. Wizz Air said the launch follows the introduction of the Larnaca to Barcelona route, which encouraged further expansion into the Spanish market.
Increased frequencies on existing routes
Wizz Air also said it will increase flight frequencies to Barcelona, Thessaloniki and Yerevan to enhance connectivity and offer passengers greater flexibility.
