Paphos, Cyprus. A 37-year-old woman is in a serious condition in intensive care after being struck by a vehicle in Paphos, police said on Tuesday.
Incident details
Police said the incident occurred at around 1.20pm on Monday on Sotiraki Markidi Street, when a car driven by a 77-year-old man hit the pedestrian under circumstances under investigation.
Medical condition
The woman was transported by ambulance to Paphos general hospital, where doctors said she sustained a skull fracture and a shoulder fracture. She remains hospitalised in the intensive care unit, with her condition described as serious.
Investigation
Police said investigations into the incident are continuing.
