Limassol, Cyprus. A 61-year-old woman is being treated in a critical condition at a private hospital in Limassol after being struck by a car on Monday morning, police said. The incident occurred around 7am in the Ypsonas area.
Incident details
Police said the woman was attempting to cross the road when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old woman. The circumstances of the collision are still under investigation.
Medical condition
An ambulance transported the injured woman to the private hospital in Limassol. Medical examinations revealed serious injuries to her head, ribs and right leg, and she has been intubated in the intensive care unit, with doctors describing her condition as serious.
