Nicosia, Cyprus. A yellow weather warning was issued on Sunday afternoon for high temperatures expected in inland areas on Monday afternoon.
Warning period
The warning will be in force from 2pm to 5pm on Monday.
Temperature forecast
The Met Office said maximum temperatures of around 40C are forecast for inland areas.
