Orounda, Cyprus. A 58-year-old man is in critical condition at Nicosia district hospital after being run over while walking on a road in the Troodos mountain village of Orounda, police said on Wednesday. The incident occurred at around 9.15pm on Tuesday.

Police said the man was hit by a car driven by a 69-year-old man.

Hospital treatment

Both men were taken by ambulance to Nicosia general hospital. The driver was later discharged, while the 58-year-old remains in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
