The Charity Vienna Ball

7-й Венский бал

Saturday 4th of March at 19:00

The 7th Charity Vienna Ball will be held in the first weekend of spring in Nicosia, with the support of the Vienna Townhall and in cooperation with the Ambassador of Austria Mr. Carl Mueller. This year’s Ball will be inspired by the festive theme “Celebrating 150 Years of Waltz”, giving tribute to the Waltz King Johann Strauss and his magnificent creation of the “Blue Danube”.

It is thought that Vienna Balls are “personal invitation-only” closed events which are available only for high-class individuals. However, it is not the case! Vienna balls are quite democratic in a sense that anyone can participate in such a professional event, provided that guest purchases a ticket, follows the required dress-code and enjoys the event with its noble atmosphere.

The “Vienna Ball” is held annually in Nicosia since 2010 — it is the cultural and social event of international significance.

The guests of “Vienna Ball 2017” will be welcomed by the excellent concert programme with the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra and artists from Russia and Austria, there will also be popular dances of the 19th century and master classes by chief dance master of the ball — Mrs. Tatiana Zenevich. Moreover, there will be candlelight gala dinner and  gifts from the Vienna City Hall (Austria).

Participation in the “Vienna Ball” may become the real adventure with unexpected encounters, establishment of new beneficial contacts and unexpected discoveries. Of course, it is a great idea for a romantic dinner which will leave the best memories.

The main requirement for participants, on top of proper behavior of course, is to follow the dress-code: ladies — evening dresses and for the gentlemen – tuxedos or suits.

“Vienna Ball” in Nicosia —is the beauty and elegance, from the flower decorations of the interior to the splendid dresses, hair styles and accessories of the guests.

The never-changing tradition of the “Vienna Ball” is the participation of debutants. Youg ladies and gentlemen start their preparations for the vent long before its start: for several months, they are trained in the finer details of etiquette and the art of dancing in the dncing school Fly-in-dance (under guidance of T. Zenevich).

This year, all the proceeds from the event will be transferred to the following charities: Charity fund for children with autism,  and Supporting fund of young artists.

Dress-code: ladies — long evening dress or ball dress; men– tuxedo or suit.
