Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of June
The University of Cyprus in cooperation with the Municipality of Nicosia is organizing the Solar Car Challenge.
This year, the race will begin on the Stasikratous street and Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue in the centre of Nicosia.
The contestants will race on the vehicles which were built and developed with the use of solar power cells. The first race of such cars took place back in 2010 on the Daytona racing track in Tseri. The race was a very successful event and market the beginning of the annual races on the solar powered vehicles.

Saturday 24th of June
- 19:00 — Solar Cars Parade at Ledras Str. and Onasagorou Str.
- 19:30 — Solar Cars Exhibition at Square on Ledras Str. And Onasagorou Str. corner
Sunday 26th of June
- 10:00 — Start Time at Spyrou Kyprianou Str.and Stasikratous Str.
- 13:00 — Finish Time.
- 13:30 — Solar Cars Parade to Nicosia Town Hall.
- 14:00 — Award Ceremony at the Nicosia Town Hall.
