The concerts dedicated to the great Finnish composer Yan Sibelius (1865-1957) will take place in Larnaca and Nicosia.
Yan Sibelius – is famous and respected Finnish composer, one of the most prominent author of symphonies and poem of the 20th century. How works reflect the national romance, where he managed to present the myths of his nations, its history and nature. Yan Sibelius is the founder of the Finnish music and played a major role in the process of development of the independent Finland.
Concert will feature works such as:
- Lyrical waltz, Op. 96a;
- Concerto for violin in d minor, op. 47;
- Symphony No. 5 in e-flat major, Op. 82.
