The high temperature will remain in Cyprus for the entire week.
Today in Nicosia the temperature reached +38°C, in the coastal regions in the West the temperature went as high as +32°C and in other coastal regions the temperature was +34°C.
The meteorologists are warning that the temperature will shoot up to +40°C on Tuesday.
The public is advised to minimize the time spent under direct sunlight, to drink more water and to wear head and eye protection.
