With the opening of the new hunting season in Paphos, the hunters have occupied the relevant areas. According to the President of Hunting and Wild Nature Federation of Paphos, the region expects around 10,000 hunters from all over the island.
The region is attractive for the hunting for pigeons, partridges and hares. Hunting is permitted every Sunday and Wednesday from 30th of October until 21st of December and on Mondays until 26th of December.
Mr. Pittokopitis urged the hunters to be careful and follow the rules. In accordance with the legislation, hunting is not permitted in the radius of 500m from residential areas and 200m from private houses in rural areas.
