Cypriots will participate in the island-wide cleaning session.
More than 6,000 people already expressed their willingness to participate in the annual cleaning campaign called “Let’s for it Cyprus”.
Ioanna Panayiotou, the environmental protection officer, has announced that this year the event will take place on Sunday the 10th of April. This event is part of the worldwide initiative “Let’s do it World”, in which more than 100 countries are participating. This largest ecological campaign started in Estonia in 2008.
Cyplive reports that, according to the environmental protection officer, everyone is welcome to join the event: local authorities, ecological and municipal organizations, governmental bodies, businessmen and politicians, as well as public representatives.
