Two arrested after man stabbed in Nicosia

Nicosia, Cyprus. A 38-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested on Wednesday after a 30-year-old man was stabbed in Nicosia.

The victim was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where he remains under treatment. His condition is no longer considered life-threatening.

Incident and arrests

Police were called to the scene at about 4am on Tuesday and found the man with an abdominal injury following an attack.

The 38-year-old man was arrested under a court warrant. The woman was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting a serious offence.

Court appearance and investigation

Both suspects were due to appear before Nicosia District Court on Wednesday.
