Larnaca, Cyprus. Police said three people were arrested after officers seized 14g of heroin during a vehicle stop in Larnaca. The arrests followed a tip-off received by the anti-drug squad.


Vehicle stop and search

Police said that on Thursday at around 3.30pm, members of the anti-drug squad stopped a vehicle in Larnaca after receiving information. The vehicle was driven by a 26-year-old man, with two passengers aged 30 and 23.

During a search of the car, officers found 26 nylon packages containing a total of 14g of heroin, which were seized as evidence.

Arrests and immigration status

Police said the two passengers were living illegally in Cyprus, while the driver had no licence. Three people were arrested following the seizure, police announced on Friday.

Search of residence

Police said they also searched the suspects’ residence, where €190 was found and seized. A 24-year-old woman who was at the house was arrested for illegal stay.
