Grim statistics

Police published the statistical data for 2016, which states that 63% of the fatalities in the road accidents were not wearing the seatbelts. Moreover, 46% of the bikers, who died during the accidents were not using protective helmets. Most of them did not even reach the age of 25.

The head of traffic police Mr. Yiannakis Charalambous stated that this year there were already 6 casualties on the roads.

Due to the above, police urges drivers to be careful on the roads and to remember to use helmets and seat belts. Shortly police will start another safety campaign on the roads.
