Cyprus will vote to lift sanctions imposed against Russia

The Communist Party of Cyprus disagrees with the decisions of the European Union. They have initiated voting in the Parliament this Thursday for the resolution to lift the sanctions from Russia.

The AKEL party believes that it is necessary to cooperate with Russia, yet the rules of the EU must be respected.

According to the politicians, the imposed sanctions are not contributing to resolve the crisis in Ukraine and moreover have a negative impact on the situation.
