Larnaca, Cyprus. A 40-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after arriving at Larnaca airport on an international inbound flight with 25 kilograms of cannabis in his suitcase, police said.


Luggage inspection

Police inspected the man’s luggage at around 3.30am on Saturday and found the cannabis stored in two nylon packages.

The packages accounted for the entire contents of the suitcase.

Court remand

The man was arrested and appeared before a court later on Saturday morning, which remanded him in custody for eight days.

Police said their investigation is ongoing.
