The hotels in this group are situated in close proximity to one another in the heart of Limassol’s tourist area, close to most of the nightclubs, the finest restaurants, souvenir shops and other retail outlets. The distance to the old town is approximately 5 km. Opposite the hotels, you will find bank branches (Bank of Cyprus, Alpha, and branches of Western banks).

The restaurants near the hotels offer a wide selection of dishes from popular cuisines around the world, including traditional Cypriot food, as well as Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Middle Eastern cuisine. In addition, there are karaoke bars and well-known nightclubs nearby.

From the hotels, it is easy to reach children’s entertainment centres: the zoo (about 2 km), the amusement park (open in the evenings during the summer, about 1 km away), and the Fasouri Watermania water park, which is about 15 km away (a taxi fare costs 20 euros one way).

Hotel beaches

The hotels’ beaches are sandy and sandy-pebbly, with the stretch of beach between the hotels measuring around 1 km. There are municipal sandy beaches nearby. The width of the shoreline is approximately 15 m. All the hotels in question are situated on the seafront and have their own well-equipped beaches. Hotel guests can use sun loungers and parasols free of charge, and beach towels are provided by the hotel staff.

For an additional fee, a variety of water sports are available on the beaches, and there are also numerous cafés and bars where you can grab a bite to eat without having to leave your spot.

Close to the hotels (about 1 km away – opposite the amusement park and McDonald’s) is a small sandy beach in a cosy cove – this is the ideal spot for children (the entrance is gentle and sandy, with shallow water extending up to about 500 m from the shore). If you’re planning a holiday with a large group, you can hire a tent with comfortable sun loungers (cost: 100 euros, including snacks and drinks). At weekends, the beach gets quite busy, as it attracts locals who aren’t planning a trip to the beaches further afield.

Features of The Royal Apollonia 5*

The Royal Apollonia 5* is one of the few 5* hotels in Cyprus operating on an ‘all-inclusive’ basis. All guests receive a welcome gift upon arrival: a fruit basket and a bottle of local wine.

The hotel boasts excellent facilities: it features a hairdressing salon (using L’Oréal and Kérastase products), clothing and footwear boutiques (Cavalli Class, Just Cavalli, Moschino, Dior and others), and a spa centre.

The Royal Apollonia 5* is ideal for holidays with children. Firstly, children stay free of charge in their parents’ room (up to two children aged 16 or under); in April and at the end of summer, full half-board is provided free of charge for children under 12; the hotel grounds feature play areas and playrooms, a children’s mini-club, special children’s entertainment programmes and menus, and a heated swimming pool.

The hotel’s restaurants enjoy well-deserved popularity not only amongst hotel guests but also amongst local residents: the exquisite Japanese restaurant Akakiko, the Italian restaurant Cos’Altro, and the indoor cocktail bar Aphrodite.

One of the hotel’s main attractions is its high standard of service and its peaceful, cosy atmosphere. The hotel’s restaurants and bars, with their stunning panoramic sea views, serve traditional Cypriot and European cuisine.

Features of the Atlantica Miramare Beach 4*

The Atlantica Miramare Beach 4* is one of the best 4* hotels in Limassol. The hotel boasts excellent facilities and offers guests a wide range of services.

Among the hotel’s undoubted advantages are its own sandy beach, a large indoor swimming pool and a convenient location.

Among the drawbacks, it is worth noting the limited choice of entertainment on the hotel premises, the lack of a kids’ club and an entertainment programme.

We therefore recommend this hotel to those who value good value for money but do not plan to spend the whole day in their room or on the hotel premises. The level of service offered is in line with its 4* rating, although you shouldn’t expect an extensive entertainment programme.

Features of the Crusader Beach 3* Hotel

The Crusader Beach 3* is one of the few 3* hotels in Limassol with its own beach. However, this beach is paved with stone slabs, and the entry into the sea is pebbly. If you’d prefer to spend time on a sandy beach, there is a municipal beach near the hotel, though you’ll have to pay for sun loungers and parasols there (around 2.0–2.5 euros per sun lounger and the same for a parasol).

Despite this, the hotel is considered one of the best in its category in terms of location. In recent years, there have been some complaints from guests regarding the standard of service and the quality of the food at the hotel. Therefore, if you’re planning to stay here, you might want to opt for the ‘breakfast only’ option and have lunch and dinner at one of the many restaurants or cafés nearby.
