650 kg shark was caught near the coasts of Cyprus

A shark weighting 650 kg was caught near the shores of Famagusta.

This is spiny shark which was at the depth of 350 metres 7 miles away from the shore.

In-Cyprus reports that this is the biggest shark ever caught near the shores of Cyprus.

Spiny shark does not present any threat, however its poison may be dangerous for individuals with allergies.

The fisherman who caught it, is the famous shark hunter in the Northern Cyprus. It took 6 hours for his crew to get the fish out on the boat.
