80 violations were registered during the campaign to combat road accidents

The Limassol police has announced the results of the safety campaign aimed at the reduction of traffic accidents. From 08:00 until 18:00 police was conducting checks on the coastal road and in the centre of the city.

Overall, during 10 hours, there were 80 violations registered by the officers. Most of them are for speeding. The second most frequent violation is the use of the mobile phones, which is followed by the illegal parking in the places designated for the disabled and other minor violations.

Moreover 2 drivers were apprehended for driving without insurance.
