Akrotiri, Cyprus. The primary school in the village of Akrotiri, the village’s nursery school and the environmental education centre will remain closed on Monday next week, the education ministry said on Friday.
Precautionary closure
The three locations have been closed since the nearby British Akrotiri air force base was hit by an Iranian-made drone shortly after midnight last Monday. The ministry said their continued closure is a “precautionary measure”.
Distance learning
The ministry said instructions have been given for the activation of distance learning at the primary school and the nursery school.
