Limassol, Cyprus. The Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (Anad) paid €11.7 million to businesses in Limassol from the start of 2025 through the end of the first half of 2026 through training and employment support schemes.
The figures cover only programmes for which payments had been completed and reflect strong participation by businesses in the district.
Business participation
More than 2,625 businesses in Limassol participated in Anad training schemes during the period, accounting for almost one-third of the 8,261 businesses that took part nationwide.
Participation was particularly high in multi-company training programmes, which included 11,967 participants from Limassol out of 54,754 across Cyprus.
Company training and recruitment support
Anad said 674 Limassol businesses implemented single-company training programmes, allowing companies to design and deliver training based on their employees’ development needs. Nationwide, 2,963 businesses participated in the scheme.
A further 257 businesses in Limassol benefited from Anad schemes supporting the recruitment of tertiary education graduates and the placement and training of long-term unemployed people. The corresponding national figure was 1,086 businesses.
Information event
Anad recently held an event in Limassol to present opportunities available through its training and employment programmes for businesses, employees, unemployed people and young people, with the aim of encouraging wider participation.
Speaking at the event, Anad board chairman Constantinos Fellas described Limassol as one of Cyprus’ most dynamic centres of economic and business activity.
