Today Nicos Anastasiades will meet with the UN Secretary-General Mr. Antonio Gutterish. The agenda will cover the Cyprus problem and ways to resume the negotiations until the end of March.
Earlier, President Anastasiades discussed a number of issues with the UN team in Cyprus and foreign representatives, which included the obstacles to the peaceful resolution in terms of the obsolete system of guarantees and disagreements concerning the Four freedoms of the EU for Turkish-Cypriots.
The intentions of the Greek Cypriots to resume the dialogue is supported by the fact that the controversial decision concerning the Enosis has been amended. This way, the government can cancel the decision of the Parliament and reduce tensions between the two sides.
